Intumescent Pads
Self adhesive intumescent pads are adhered to the inside of the trunking where it passes through fire barrier walls or floors to provide up to four hours protection whilst enabling access to the cables at all times. In the event of a fire the pads expand, crushing the cables and filling the gaps in the trunking, stopping the passage of fire. BS476 Part 22.
