In a night filled with celebration, CEF emerged as the winners of Training Provider of the Year at the 2023 Electrical Contracting News (ECN) Awards.
The ECN Awards recognise the very best of the electrical contracting industry and celebrate those who strive to make it safer, more advanced, more efficient and more sustainable.
Training Provider/Initiative of the Year: setting the standard
During a celebratory evening, TechTalks presenter Darren Staniforth accepted CEF’s award for Training Provider/Initiative of the Year saying: "I'm humbled to accept this award on behalf of our dedicated TechTalks team. Bringing essential training to electricians and contractors across the UK is a real privilege. It’s a joy to turn up at each new location and see so many people willing to invest time in their development, get to grips with the latest innovations and have some fun while they learn.”
Our free CPD-accredited TechTalk training events have benefited over 10,000 electricians and contractors across the UK. In partnership with the IET, we have now held over 70 TechTalks, bringing free, accessible, up-to-date training to towns and cities countrywide. Our current series of TechTalks, launched in September 2023, includes a dedicated Q & A session on renewables as we continue to address the industry's evolving needs.
Chain Wholesaler/Distributor of the Year (three stores or more): highly commended
In the Wholesaler/Distributor category, we were highly commended for our Renewables Division which has made significant contributions to the UK's renewable landscape. By offering products, technical support, design services and training, we are helping to advance the sustainability industry.
Mike Gadd, Director of Renewables said: “We welcome this, not only a recognition of the amazing achievements to date of CEF, but also our continued drive to innovate, being both subject matter experts and thought leaders in the field of sustainability within the electrical industry. Together we look forward to a brighter, cleaner and greener future.”
We thank ECN for these honours and say congratulations to all the winners and nominees. While we celebrate, we are also motivated to keep innovating, learning, and improving so we can continue to deliver the excellent products and services that professional electricians and contractors expect.
