This March, an extraordinary challenge returns—and CEF is proud to be right behind it. Doddie’s Triple Crown 2026 is a 720-mile cycling journey across Scotland, England, and Ireland, raising vital funds for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation in the fight against Motor Neuron Disease (MND).

What is Doddie’s Triple Crown?
Created in memory of the late rugby great Doddie Weir OBE, the Triple Crown is an epic four-day cycling challenge led by Rob Wainwright, former Scotland rugby captain, and Mark Beaumont, world record-breaking cyclist.
Together with a core team cycling every mile—and hundreds more riding in relay—they’ll cover the following route:
Day 1 – Tuesday 10th March: Melrose to Leeds
Day 2 – Wednesday 11th March: Leeds to Gloucester
Day 3 – Thursday 12th March: Gloucester to Pembroke (overnight ferry)
Day 4 – Friday 13th March: Rosslare to Dublin
The goal? To raise awareness and funds for MND research—and to honour the enduring spirit of a friend, teammate, and icon.

The My Name’5 Doddie Foundation was set up by Doddie Weir OBE in 2017 after his own MND diagnosis. Since then, the Foundation has become a driving force in MND research and funding—backing clinical trials, supporting families, and pushing towards one clear goal: A world free of MND.
