From corporate charity partnerships through to employee led activities, we are passionate about giving something back. Over the last five years we have donated over £6.2 million to charities close to our heart.
Our Charity Partner
Macmillan Cancer Support has been CEF’s chosen charity partner since 2017. In 2020 we committed to partner with them for the next 5 years with an ambitious aim of raising £1 million in that time.
Our company wide activities include Big Breakfast events, Christmas Jumper days and our annual Macmillan Challenge. These activities help raise thousands of pounds for our charity partner.
We also encourage employees to organise their own activities and fundraising events including everything from raffles and auctions to local football and darts tournaments.
We are proud to partner with the EIC to deliver support to businesses, customers and their families who serve and have served within the electrical and energy sectors.
Through the EIC, CEF has funded 10,000 mental health training sessions for apprentices across the industry.
We also donate domestic appliances to help the EIC support people need them urgently due to re-housing or financial difficulty.
Janet Nash Charitable Settlement
Through the Janet Nash Charitable Settlement we have provided over £2.2 million of support for individuals who need medical care for often life threatening conditions over the last five years, as well as supporting various charitable institutions.
Supporting Medical Research
We have committed £3 million to ground-breaking medical research led by Professor Marios Politis, Professor of Neurology, Consultant Neurologist, and Director of the Mireille Gillings Neuroimaging Centre at the University of Exeter.
