Scope
To provide Renewable Energy solutions vis Solar PV installations across 1000+ homes over a 3-year programme.
Challenges Faced
The variation of housing stock with case-by-case system kits. To be able to supply and support an ongoing pipeline of programmed works. Securing and supply materials for a long-term project (3 years Apr 2023-Apr 2026) and at a competitive cost in today's challenging market.
Our Solution
Working closely with the client to ensure PV panels, Roof kits, Inverters and all associated cabling and switches where available locally through the CEF Branch to ensure client had materials when and where required to match their installation programme of works of 6 x PV installations per day.
Being adaptive to react when changes of materials and specifications arose across installation phases. Being on hand to respond to client's technical support requests quickly and confidently when needed.
Results Achieved
The client can confidently plan in to complete a programme of installations well in advance with the comfort that the installations are complete, commissioned, and ready for handover to the end client.
Key Milestones
CEF have embedded with the Saltire FM installations team involved in delivering PV installations and continue to develop that relationship towards other Renewables offerings to come.
Saltire FM have found both the CEF Branch and National Renewables Teams to be knowledgeable, professional, and most important easy to communicate and work with and we have the comfort that we are getting best value with costings, product, and support.
They have been quick to respond when any minor issues of supply have arisen. Also, adaptive, and supportive when any changes of specification or additions to works have arisen. Saltire FM have greatly appreciated the support that CEF have provided across the NLC contract and other projects, and we feel confident that we will have a great relationship across the remaining years of this contract and surely others that follow.
